Teresa Santiago
Teresa Santiago is the Chairperson and Executive Director of the New York State Consumer Protection Board. Ms. Santiago is credited with spearheading many of the Board's achievements such as working with new immigrants, New York's senior citizens and thousands of consumers to educate and protect them from consumer fraud.
Early this year, Ms. Santiago was nominated by former Governor George E. Pataki and confirmed by the State Senate to serve as a member of the State University of New York Board of Trustees, the governing body of the State's university system.
Ms. Santiago is a Fordham University graduate and has over fifteen years of marketing, advertising and public relations experience.
Teresa Santiago is a board member of several civic and professional organizations, including the Institute for the Puerto Rican/Hispanic Elderly, the Regional Aid for Interim Needs (RAIN) Inc., and at St. Pius V. High School.
