Judge Joseph S. Mattina (retired)

Judge Joseph Mattina has been a lawyer, an Assistant DA, a Buffalo City Court Judge, an Erie County Judge, a New York State Supreme Court Justice, and a Surrogate Judge.

Judge Mattina was appointed a mediator of an affirmative action program from 1969-1974, and his contributions were instrumental in implementing a successful program in Buffalo. He has also served for many years as a faculty instructor at The Nationals Judicial College.

Judge Mattina is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, from which he received his JD.
