Dr. Rosa Gil

Dr. Rosa Gil is the founder and President of Comunilife, Inc., which provides high quality community based mental health, rehabilitation services and housing to a diverse population of patients.

Dr. Gil's distinguished career includes serving as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the New York City Health and Hospital Corp., Executive Director of Woodhull Hospital Medical Center and University Dean for Health Sciences at the City University of New York.

Additionally, Dr. Gil has served on numerous boards among them the National Advisory Board Council of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Dr. Gil is a founding member of the Latino Commission on AIDS and the founder of the Hispanic Mental Health Association. She is the author of numerous articles and is the co-author of Maria Paradox, a self-esteem book for Hispanic women.
