Robert Gaffney
Robert Gaffney is a partner in the law firm of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. (MSEK), and involved in many aspects of the firm's practice.
Born and educated in New York City, Mr. Gaffney moved to Suffolk County in 1973 to practice law, after serving in law enforcement.
In 1985, Mr. Gaffney was elected to the New York State Assembly, representing the 4th Assembly District, a district that included the State University of New York at Stony Brook, three major hospitals and numerous health care facilities. He was later elected to the office of Suffolk County Executive, a position he held for 12 years.
In addition to his responsibilities at MSEK, Mr. Gaffney also makes time to serve on the boards and committees of various entities such as the Long Island Housing Partnership, Central Suffolk Hospital and Dowling College.
